Auction Terms and Conditions

1. By submitting your bid, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
2. The auction is only open to Stax Trade Centres account holders with a valid account number.
3. You must create an account on auction.staxtradecentres.co.uk, irrespective of if you already have an online account at staxtradecentres.co.uk in order to place a bid.
4. By submitting a bid you thereby enter a contractually binding obligation to complete the transaction if you are the winning bidder of that lot. The winning bidder is the person certified to be the highest bidder by Stax Trade Centres at the end of the auction.
5. If, for any reason, the highest bid fails to complete the transaction, the nearest bid will be awarded the lot.
6. Any bids that are the highest bids at the close of an auction, but do not meet the reserve price will be accepted or rejected at Stax Trade Centres discretion.
7. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you are giving Stax permission to contact you to arrange payment and delivery in the result of winning a lot.
8. Stax reserve the right to cancel any lots or refuse to sell the lot.
9. RRP are inclusive of VAT.
10. Reserve prices are exclusive of VAT.
11. All bids submitted are exclusive of VAT.
12. You cannot retract any bid after it has been submitted;
13. However, you can amend a bid, so long as the amended amount is larger than the previous highest bid. For example, if the current bid is £990 and you intend to bid £1,000, but enter £10,000 in error, you will be able to amend to £1,000 but not below, providing no one has already exceeded your bid.
14. Lots will lapse, and not be claimable, unless they have been fully taken by the agreed date, unless otherwise stated.
15. Stax Trade Centres accepts no liability should a lot, for any reason whatsoever, not have been taken within this time period.
16. No cash alternative will be offered.
17. Winning bidders will be sent an email setting out the details for claiming their lot, including requirements relating to payment of the bid fee and other matters. Failure to comply with such requirements shall entitle but not oblige Stax to declare a bid void. If they do so, the lot affected will be awarded to the appropriate under-bidder.
18. No lot may be transferred by the winner to any other person (as a gift or otherwise).
